ACE activities in this category include a primer on the 2018 Constitution Revision Commission and how citizens can become involved; testing participants' basic knowledge about the structure and function of the government; as well as an examination of voting practices historically and currently in the United States.
Could You Pass the Test?
In this activity, participants learn about their role as citizens and increase their knowledge of the U.S. and Florida constitutions. Two different formats are provided. Handouts include Test Your Knowledge bingo and questions from the U.S. Citizenship test. Estimated time to present: 20 to 30 minutes. This presentation addresses voting practices historically and currently in the United States and explores present day challenges and dilemmas about who should vote and who should have the power to determine who votes.
